Leadership Live- “Give your manager an executive coach for a day!”

Leadership Live is an ultra-interactive program for managers.  Participants will learn how to excel in the common and not so common managerial challenges.  This program is comprised of real-time role plays and video evaluation all done in a live format.

Life doesn't always give you a dress rehearsal, but we will.

Sometimes it is just too easy to sit through a leadership development program and nod your head in agreement.  Leadership Live shows participants what leadership looks like in real-time. New Manager Transition Program

The New Manager Transition Program is a comprehensive program for new managers to help them make that critical jump from individual contributor to supervising others.  Unfortunately, many new managers do not get this type of training until years into their position.  It is critical for new managers to know their responsibility in compliance, know how to review people, and how to lead their reports to performance.  Topics include: Transition to Manager, Legal Responsibilities, Hiring, Performance Management, Corrective Action, and the additional core skills needed to lead others.

Director Level Development

In today’s companies, the Director level is often not fully prepared for their role in the organization.   • AIDD-Accelerated Individual Development for Directors is a 1-1 Coaching Initiative that occurs over 8 weeks/ 8 Sessions that provides intense and personalized development to Directors. The outcome of this program is to improve leadership effectiveness, develop an actionable career and development plan, and to improve business sophistication.  This program can be integrated with existing training and succession programs.
  • Leadership Edge 929- L929 is an Action Learning program that requires classroom time, out of class assignments, and real-time structured conversations with VP’s.  The result of this program is increased Strategic Thinking capacity and an actionable Strategic Plan for the division.

TALDEV Navigator: Employee Development

Most employees have poor or no career development plan is place.  For a variety of reasons, including time and ill-equipped bosses, employees are existing without a plan.  This affects retention, performance, and future bench strength.  TALDEV is a stepwise, self-directed planning process and tool that provides robust Personal Development and a Career Plan for employees.  This tool ensures that each and every employee possesses a significant personal career development plan.  This fills the GAP between the boss and the Performance Management tool to make sure that a Development Plan exists.  TALDEV can be completed in both hard-copy and, in summer of 2007, electronic format.

LeaderEdge Outdoor Program

Take your management team out of the standard learning environment…way out of it. The LeaderEdge Outdoor Survival Program integrates the very best in management development with outdoor adventure programs. It was formed to meet the requests of corporations who desire a curriculum that will provide effective leadership training in an intense experiential environment. LeaderEdge provides the emotional thrust of outdoor
adventure with the intellectual capital of effective leadership training.

The Course

The LeaderEdge program is a 3-5 day program designed to incorporate proven leadership expertise with outdoor survival skills in a beautiful and natural environment. Our home base for the majority of our program is in Southeast Utah in the Redrock district. Basic Structure of the field course is built on the balance of traditional learning, primitive living, self-awareness, team building, and experiential learning. The course is physically and mentality demanding on many levels but always worth it!

Have Flipchart will Hike:

LeaderEdge combines traditional adult education methods with the best experiential learning structure available. Picture hiking many miles a day and camping with very little modern equipment while taking on leadership instruction and challenges. The environment that the learning will take place is about as far outside of the box as possible and implores participants to look at things and themselves differently.

Traditional Learning:

Throughout the field course familiar methods of teaching will be utilized such as flipcharts, workbooks and models. However, the desks will tend to be rocks and the role-plays will take place in a cave or under a cottonwood tree. At the core of all leadership is character and good decision-making. This is what is left after you strip away technology, computers, cell phones, PowerPoint presentations, and all the modern tools we rely on. LeaderEdge believes that the real person will come out and able to grow when modern tools are taken away and one is faced to live with and make the best of the basics.

LeaderEdge provides the experience in a primitive living/survival type environment. During the course of the program participants will learn skill such as Making Fire with Sticks (Friction Fires), Making Primitive Shelters, Survival Attitude, Finding Food and Water, and Map /Compass Skills.

Each of these skills are learned and then tied back to a REAL business lessons to be implemented and integrated at the office. These skills also tend to have a lifelong positive effect on each individual.
